Working in a range of materials including wood, metal, glass, and electronics – Kian’s physical works are the result of play and experimentation. Each piece starts as a feeling of inspiration, and takes its final shape during the creation process. Little of his work is planned and instead is the practice of shaping what’s in front of him with techniques used in past works and improvised, trial and error implementations of new materials and methods. He rarely makes the same design twice and is constantly exploring new techniques to better bring substance to his imagination.
